The corporate lending business line is a recent and growing addition to the portfolio of the Bank. As Credit Risk Manager, you will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining the risk management framework for the newly established Corporate Lending Business Line. Your primary responsibility will be to manage financial risks effectively, ensuring the set-up and maintenance of relevant policies, internal controls, and aligning risk management approaches across the bank. The work shall cover the full credit lifecycle. In this role, you bring knowledge on corporate lending activities and have the opportunity to support the expansion of this activity in the upcoming years.

Which team will you be joining?
The Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team, which is part of the wider Risk Management & Controlling (RMC) department at Lloyds Bank GmbH, is a team composed of 8 people who safeguarding our financial stability for the retail and corporate business lines. Our team is at the forefront of identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks to ensure the bank's resilience and success. Governance Framework:
- Expand and maintain the Governance Framework for corporate lending in line with the Bank’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Risk Appetite Framework
- Support the development of new policies and procedures as more new product types will be added to the corporate lending product suite
- Align requirements between Lloyds Banking Group, Local regulation (e.g. EBA and ECB requirements) and the bank’s appetite and reflect this in the policies, procedures and processes
- Collaborate closely with local and Group risk colleagues to align on approaches to manage the credit risk and expand the corporate lending business within the EU.
- Create, implement, and maintain the policy house for corporate lending activities and ensure policies and procedures remain up to date as regulation evolves and new products get added.
- Regularly perform control effectiveness tests and manage the Risk Control Self-Assessment System (RCSA) for Corporate Business to assess if policies and procedures are complied with
- Perform oversight over 1st line controls to ensure these operate effectively
- Identify and assess risks to ensure they are managed within the bank’s risk appetite and provide advice on the setting of credit risk appetite for corporate exposures
- Act as a source of professional expertise to mitigate potential risks and ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose.
- Train and educate colleagues on effective management of internal controls related to financial risks.
- Analyse relevant regulatory developments (CRR, CRD, MaRisk, EBA Guidelines) and provide recommendations for implementation and compliance.
- Support the analysis of new corporate transactions from this regulatory perspective.
- Prepare timely, accurate, and insightful management reports for both internal and regulatory purposes.
You recognize yourself in this profile
Experience and Knowledge
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial and non-financial risk management in corporate lending, preferably in an ECB-supervised institution.
- Knowledge on corporate products, mainly in the lending and trade finance area
- Deep understanding of various risk types the bank is exposed to, both financial and non-financial.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EBA requirements and ECB expectations for managing a bank’s risk profile.
- Data analytics and programming skills (VBA, SQL, Python) are a plus.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business economics, law, econometrics), with a track record of continuous development.
Skills and Capabilities
- Highly analytical approach to problem-solving
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work under pressure.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German or Dutch is a plus.
