Your role

We may be part of a large banking Group, but we’re a small, tight-knit bank with a focused business model and a young team. For our Business Support Unit, we are looking for a First Line Risk Management Expert (Legal & Compliance). The 1st Line Risk Management Expert Legal & Compliance will support our business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating a wide range of risks, with a primary focus on Legal & Compliance to ensure first line operates within compliance with laws and regulations.

You serve as the primary risk management support to first line teams, such as Human Resources, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations. You will also be the first point of contact for second line risk specialists, promoting collaboration and communication to address risk management needs effectively. By enhancing the capabilities of the first line, the 1st Line Risk Management Expert will contribute to the bank's ability to manage risks effectively while seizing opportunities for innovation and development.

Nice to know is that the 1st Line Risk Management Expert operates as a general risk management support function and for this role you must be willing to operate in the other risk areas if needed, such as Data Privacy, Credit Risk, Financial Crime, OPRisk and Conduct, to maintain continuity and flexibility within the team. Working with the colleague in the unit, this is an ultimate opportunity to learn about the different risk divisions.
